Give clients their own view, not your whole workspace
TimeMagick's client portal gives each Client Member a client-facing workspace: their own Dashboard, plus Projects, Timesheets, Report, Message Channels and Sensai. Client Members are external accounts linked to one or more of your clients, kept separate from your internal team.

A client-facing workspace, not just a report link
A Client Member signs in to their own TimeMagick experience. These are the areas in the CLIENT navigation:
Dashboard
A Client Dashboard with project, task, weekly-hours and overdue-task information.
Projects
The Projects board, with status columns and project cards.
Timesheets
The Member's Timesheet, with hours per member per day.
Report
A detailed report by client, project, member and task, with daily hours.
Message Channels
Project channels and groups, with attachments and emoji.
Sensai
TimeMagick's in-app AI assistant, in the client's own navigation.
The Client Dashboard
The first thing a client sees is a dashboard built for them, scoped to the clients their account is linked to.
- Headline cards: Total Projects, Total Tasks, Completed, Weekly Hours Logged and Overdue Tasks.
- Project Status: each project with its tasks, budget and status.
- Task Status Breakdown: Completed, To Do, In Progress, On Hold and Cancelled.
- Weekly Hours Logged chart and a Team Members & Hours section.
- Overall Due Tasks: task name, project name and due date.
Follow projects on the Projects board
CLIENT users can open the Projects board, with Active, Archived and Completed tabs and status columns such as To Do, In Progress, In Review, On Hold and Completed. Some columns carry an Auto indicator.
Each project card shows the project code and name, due date, task progress, budget and time information, completion and allocated hours, the client, assigned members, and chat and attachment indicators. Search, status and client filters, Sort by Due Date and a Pending Task toggle help clients find what they're looking for.
Timesheet visibility
Clients can open the Member's Timesheet: one row per member, a column for each calendar day, hours per day and Total Hours, filtered by client, member and date range, with View Details for each member.
Detailed project and time reports
The CLIENT Report shows client, project, member, task, status and total time, with worked hours for each day of the selected range. Clients can filter by client, project, task and member, choose the time type (shown as Worked Time), set a date range and group by member.
Project communication with clients
Client Members can access Message Channels, so project conversations stay inside the same TimeMagick workspace clients use to follow their work. The CLIENT view includes project channels and groups, search, Unread, Projects and Groups filters, project participants, and a message composer with emoji, attachments and send.
How project communication worksSensai for clients
Sensai, TimeMagick's in-app AI assistant, appears in the CLIENT navigation, and Client Members can open it from their own account.
Client Members are separate from your team
The Members screen has four tabs: Members, Teams, Roles and Client Members. Clients get their own account type and their own CLIENT experience, not an internal login.
Internal
- Members — your team, each with a team and a role
- Teams — named groups of members
- Roles — Owner and your custom roles; CLIENT is reserved for Client Members
External
- Client Members — external users linked to one or more clients, holding the CLIENT role
Linked to the right clients
Each Client Member is linked to selected client records, and the Client Dashboard is scoped to the clients that account is linked to. The client-facing workspace is connected to the same client and project records your team already manages in TimeMagick.

How the client portal fits with permissions
Your team's access is set through TimeMagick's role-based permissions: a Role Permission matrix of 40 modules with View, Create, Update and Delete controls, configured per role.
Client Members are handled separately. They hold CLIENT, a locked system role alongside Owner, rather than a custom role you create, and they work in the CLIENT experience described on this page.
